How did we come to choose the items for sale?
How did we come to choose the items for sale? Simple - we did not want to buy items that were made under harsh conditions, such as what might be found in factories employing what amounts to slave labor. That would have invalidated everything we stood for. Ultimately we decided to buy items that were made by real people under safe conditions. We researched buying wholesale jewelry made in factories in China for unbelievably low costs, but in the end we just couldn't do it.
How are our products shipped?
We typically ship our products via U.S. Post Office. We include a card that tells about Glad to be Giving and wrap our products in tissue paper and put them inside an organdy bag. We can write a brief greeting to your recipient on the front of the enclosed card if you would like, and include a packing slip description of the gift without pricing.
How is our company set up?
Because we believe that this background information may be important to you, we thought we would tell you how we are set up! A corporation was set up in 2001, initially called MoonTree Enterprises. Later it was changed to MoonTree HandWorks, Inc. to reflect the handmade nature of our products we were planning to offer. This corporation continues to this day and runs the Glad to be Giving website.
